Jamame District (Somali: Degmada Jamaame) is a district in the southern Lower Juba (Jubbada Hoose) region of Somalia. Its capital lies at Jamame.The original name is CHA YA MAAMA From Bantu Language, means mama's belongs. Jamaama or jamaame is the way the newcomers pronounce. Bantu ethnic group are the majority of Jamaame population.
