Jazz Middelheim
Jazz Middelheim is an annual summer jazz festival in Antwerp, Belgium. The first festival took place in 1969[1] as a jazz promenade in the Middelheim Park. In 2014 Jazz Middelheim will celebrate its 45th edition.
2010
The 2010 edition presented amongst others Toots Thielemans, Wayne Shorter Quartet, McCoy Tyner Trio with Joe Lovano, Cassandra Wilson, Archie Shepp, Ahmad Jamal, World Saxophone Quartet + M'BOOM, Chucho Valdés & The Afro Cuban Messengers and Dave Holland & Pepe Habichuela: Flamenco quittet feat. Josemi Carmona. Apart from the incredible performance by Toots Thielemans, some other Belgian artists gave outstanding concerts: Jef Neve with José James (presenting their new Facing East CD), Jeroen Van Herzeele Quartet and Aka Moon + Baba Sissoko reached
