Jim Clendenen is a winemaker and the owner of Au Bon Climat, a winery based in Santa Maria, California.[1]

According to Au Bon Climat's website, Clendenen began his winemaking career working at Zaca Mesa Winery for three vintages. After traveling around the world in order to work three harvests in one year (California, Australia and France), Clendenen founded Au Bon Climat in 1982 with former partner Adam Tolmach.[2]

Clendenen has won a number of awards[3] for his winemaking and has mentored[4] several up-and-coming winemakers.
