Expanded 5x as of nomination date on May 19. Eligible as per Rule 1d as stated above. Long enough at over 2800 characters. Within policy; neutral enough, sources check out, free of close paraphrasing, etc. Both hooks are fine, befitting of subject's character and quirky personality. ;) I have slight preference for the first one. QPQ fulfilled. Good to go, nice bio of an interesting fellow.
