Joe Budden

Joseph Anthony Budden II (born August 31, 1980), who goes by Joe Budden, is an American rapper.

Music career

His debut solo studio album was Joe Budden. The album included Budden's 2003 summer hit "Pump It Up", which was also featured in the soundtrack for the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious video game Def Jam Vendetta. The song "Focus" was also featured in the game and Joe Budden was also a character. Its second single was "Fire" featuring Busta Rhymes. The song "Drop Drop" was featured on the soundtrack for the movie Cradle 2 the Grave. The album debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 charts and gave Budden his only top 10 single, "Pump It Up".

In 2004, Budden began work on his second album, titled The Growth. However, it suffered numerous delays, leading fans to speculate that the album was in some sort of development hell, though he and Def Jam, denied this.[1]
