Born in Washington, D.C., he played collegiately for the Boston College.

He was selected by the Boston Celtics in the 4th round (38th pick overall) of the 1966 NBA draft.

He played for the Baltimore Bullets (1966–67) in the NBA for 4 games and the New Jersey Americans (1967–68) in the ABA for 41 games.
