John "Jack" William Horan (May 13, 1908 – April 16, 1971) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1963 to 1971 sitting with the Social Credit caucus in government.

Political career

Horan ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in the 1963 Alberta general election. He ran as the Social Credit candidate in the electoral district of Edmonton Jasper Place. He won the race over three other candidates and was given a strong challenge from Liberal candidate Keith Campbell to pick up the new seat for his party.[2]

Horan ran for a second term in the 1967 general election. He won a hotly contested race over Progressive Conservative candidate Gerard Amerongen and three other candidates to keep his seat.[3]
