Biography

He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and later grew up in California and Nevada. He attended Orr Middle School in Las Vegas, NV in 1971. In 1974, he attended Valley High School where he studied ceramics, oil painting, watercolors, and commercial design, graduating in 1976.

After graduating from Valley High School in '76, he taught himself to play drums and played gigs off and on for a few years in a funk band called Soul Connection.
