Joseph Claussat (1874-1925) was a French politician. He served as the mayor of Châteldon.[2] He also served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1911 to 1925, representing Puy-de-Dôme.[3] His daughter Marguerite Claussat (1888-1959) married the French politician Pierre Laval, both of whom were born and raised in Châteldon.
