Josh Aaron Cassada (born July 18, 1973) is a NASA astronaut of the class of 2013.[1][2]

Josh A. Cassada, Ph.D., Lt. Commander, U.S. Navy, was born in San Diego, California and raised in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Cassada is a naval aviator who holds an undergraduate degree from Albion College, and advanced degrees from the University of Rochester, N.Y. Cassada is a physicist by training and currently is serving as co-founder and Chief Technology Officer for Quantum Opus.
