Josh Addo-Carr (born 28 July 1995) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League. He plays at wing and fullback. He previously played for the Wests Tigers.

Background

Born in Blacktown, New South Wales, Addo-Carr is of Indigenous Australian descent[3] and played his junior rugby league for the La Perouse Panthers and Moore Park. He was then signed by the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

Addo-Carr is the grandson of Australian boxer Wally Carr.[1]

Playing career

Early career

In 2014 and 2015, Addo-Car played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks' NYC team.[4] On 23 September 2015, he signed a 1-year contract with the Wests Tigers starting in 2016.[5]

2016

In Round 7 of the 2016 NRL season, Addo-Carr made his NRL debut for the Tigers against the Melbourne Storm,[6][7] scoring a try on debut.[8] On 6 June, he signed a 3-year contract with the Melbourne Storm starting in 2017.[9] In September, he was named on the wing in the 2016 Intrust Super Premiership NSW Team of the Year.[10]
