Kadoshkinsky District (Russian: Кадо́шкинский райо́н; Moksha: Кадажень район; Erzya: Кадоньбуе) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the twenty-two in the Republic of Mordovia, Russia. It is located in the center of the republic. The area of the district is 618.6 square kilometers (238.8 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Kadoshkino.[3] Population: 7,970 (2010 Russian census);[4] 9,484 (2002 Census).[9] The population of Kadoshkino accounts for 59.0% of the district's total population.[4]

The district was established on May 27, 1991.[2]
