Kaimana Regency is a regency in the south of West Papua province of Indonesia. It covers an area of 16,241.84 sq. km, and had a population of 46,249 at the 2010 Census;[1] the latest official estimate (as at January 2014) is 53,366. The administrative centre is the town of Kaimana.

Lengguru area

In 2014, researchers reveals biodiversity in Lengguru area which it coast and karst region. The expedition cover from 100 meters below sea level underwater up to 1,000 meters above mean sea level found many flora and fauna species which some of them are new species, but the most interesting is Lengguru is well-preserved without land opened for plantation, production forest or mining, while in the other parts of Indonesia, including in Indonesian Papua area it is not 100 percent preserved.
