Kanke block is one of the twenty administrative blocks of Ranchi district, Jharkhand state, India. In this block though, there are many villages, one of them is 'Gagi'. This village is very beautiful with its western site surrounded by a hill, which is well known for its 'Dhakni Paani'. Water of this fountain never stops flowing. The population of this village is around 2900.

Population

As of 2001 India census,[1] Kanke Block had a population of 1026488. Males constitute 53%(543496) of the population and females 47%(482952).
