Kannampalayam is a suburb of Coimbatore, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Kannampalayam was included with the Coimbatore Corporation in 2011.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Kannampalayam has a population of 11,890. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Kannampalayam has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 85%, and female literacy is 70%. In Kannampalayam, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
