Kerkwerve is a town in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, and lies about 24 km southwest of Hellevoetsluis.

Kerkwerve was a separate municipality until it was merged with Middenschouwen in 1961.[1]

In 2001, the town of Kerkwerve had 575 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.20 km2, and contained 245 residences.[2] The statistical area "Kerkwerve", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1070.[3]
