Khaled Al Khamissi

Khaled Al Khamissi (born September 27, 1962) is an Egyptian novelist, writer, producer and director. He is currently based in Cairo, Egypt and is a contributing journalist to Al Shorouk newspaper.

He has written two novels; Taxi (2007) and Noah's Ark (2009). His books have been translated into ten languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Malaysian, Korean, Polish, Greek and Chinese (pending).

Biography

Khaled Al Khamissi was born on September 27, 1962 to Egyptian parents in Downtown, Cairo where he still resides. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science from Cairo University in 1984 and his masters are in foreign policy from The Sorbonne in 1987.
