Khalid Ahmad

Khalid Ahmad (5 June 1943 - 19 March 2013) was a Pakistani Urdu poet and journalist.[1]
Career
Ahmad was a columnist of Nawa-i-Waqt. Besides being a poet, he was also a playwright. Was a notable play written by Ahmad.[1] Two sisters of Khalid Ahmad Hajra masroor and khadija mastoor are internationally famous Urdu fiction writers. He did MSC and joined Wapda. He wrote several books such as:
- Daraaz palkoun k saey saey
- Aik muthi hawa
- Pehli sada parinday ki
- Hathalyoun par chiragh
- Tashbeeb
- jadeed tar Pakistani adab
- lamha lamha
- Num Grifta
- Kajol Ghar
Ahmad was publishing his monthly bayaz for the last 22 years. For his literary services, he has been awarded pride of performance by the government of Pakistan and many other awards.
Death
Ahmad died on 19 March 2013 after suffering from lung cancer for a few months. At the time of death, he was survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.[1]
