Kintai Bridge at Cherry Blossom Time

The Kintai Bridge (錦帯橋, Kintai-kyō) is a bridge in the city of Iwakuni, in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. It spans the Nishiki River in a series of five wooden arches. The original dates from 1674, but flooding from a typhoon destroyed it in 1950. The 1953 reconstruction, with partial restorations in 2001 and 2004, stands today.
