"Kiss of Life" is the third single from the English group Sade's fourth studio album, Love Deluxe (1992). The single was released in May 1993 and became a minor hit in the United States, peaking at number 78 on the Billboard Hot 100 and then went on to become Sade's seventh top 10 hit on the R&B chart peaking at #10. It also got significant airplay on smooth jazz radio stations.

In the lyrics, the singer believes that her finding love was heavenly inspired. "There must have been an angel by my side. Someone led me to you. He built a bridge to your heart."

Cover versions

Guitaurist Ken Navarro covered the song in the closing track from Navarro's 1997 studio album Smooth Sensation.

In 2005, trumpeter Rick Braun covered the song from the album "Yours Truly."[4][5]

The song was sampled in the MF Doom song "Doomsday" off of his debut album Operation: Doomsday.

In 2006, R&B singer Margot B. covered the song on her album "Margot B. Inspired"[6]

On the 2009 album, Mellow Beats, Friends & Lovers, Japanese hip-hop producer Nujabes created a cover of the song featuring Giovanca & Benny Sings.[7]
