Kiyoshi Mutō (武藤 清, Mutō Kiyoshi, January 29, 1903–12 March 1989) was a Japanese architect born in Toride, Ibaraki, Japan. He is considered the "father of the Japanese skyscraper" for his contributions to earthquake engineering[1].[citation needed]
