Knighton Town Football Club is a Welsh football club founded in 1887, currently playing in the Mid Wales League's Division One (level 3 in the Welsh pyramid system) after promotion in 2014/2015. During their promotion season Knighton Town scored a staggering 113 league goals, much owing to the striker Connor Bird who netted 30 and midfielder Mark Jones who hit 26. Knighton also conceded only 18 league goals all season which was the best defensive record in Welsh senior football.[1] Knighton Town Reserves play in the Mid Wales League South(level 5 in the Welsh pyramid system).
