Kodumuru or Kodumur is a mandal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Geography
Kodumuru is located at 15°41′00″N 77°47′00″E / 15.6833°N 77.7833°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 342 meters (1125 feet). Gadwal Sarees are manufactured in Kodumuru. Recently the Indian Government has proposed to set up a handloom park in Kodumuru to save weavers from starvation and in the process help the survival of Gadwal sarees. The SZTD code of Kodumur is 08525 and the Pincode is 518464. It is 35 km from Kurnool, It is on the way to Mantralayam from Kurnool.
This village is located on the banks of a river called Handri. A highway which is from Kurnool to Bellary was built through this village.

Festivals and celebrations of Kodumur people
- Kodumur people celebrates Chowdamma Jatara in the starting week or second week of February every year. People invites all of their relatives and celebrates with them. It is a belief that the married life will be good if the newly married man (groom) gives hand to move the ratha(teru). Teru Bajar is the place where the Chowdamma temple is located. There will be some other cultural activities and sports conducted by Kodumur youth clubs during this festival.
- Kodumur people celebrate Kite festival on Yeruvaka pournami. They do not play with kites on Sankranthi. Generally in the cities kites will be of small size, but you can see kites of size up to 6 feet in Kodumur during this time.
- Kodumur people celebrates the festival of vallelamma(gramadevatha).
