Kodur, Pulkal (Template:Lang-te) is a village in Pulkal Mandal, Medak District, Telangana, India.
Temple and Community initiative
A new temple has been constructed in the village of Kodur, Pulkal Mandal and has been named as Sri Uma Naga Lingeshwara Devalayam. This has been constructed over the remnants of an ancient temple that was demolished and a place filled with weeds. It was an initiative taken up by a village member settled in Hyderabad, who wanted to take up social initiatives in his native village. Motivated the villagers, who as a team helped convert the place filled with weeds to a beautiful and peaceful place. Leveraged private contributions and NREGS to cover huge unused manure pits, to bring it to the state it is currently in. The village team is working to make it a beautiful place with a garden and additional facilities. this is a platform for community programs. The temple was inaugurated on Wednesday, Feb 16th 2011 at 11.30 AM by Hon’ble Dr.Praveen Togadia Ji, The International Secretary General of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. [1]

The below rock carvings have been found in the village more than 70 years ago (approx) and have been preserved carefully by the villagers since then. The carvings include Nagadevatha, Mythological scripts, ancient Shiva Lingam. The Shiva Lingam is currently the center piece of the temple that has been built during 2010 & 2011.
