Krishna Chali London (lit. 'Krishna leaves for London') is an Indian television show which premiered on Star Plus on 21 May 2018.[1] This show is produced by Saurabh Tewari. It stars Megha Chakraborty and Gaurav Sareen.[2][3]
Synopsis
The show revolves around the leads Krishna Dubey, an aspiring doctor and Radhe Lal Shukla, an "aspiring lover".
Radhe lives in Kanpur. He belongs to a rich illiterate family. Radhe is shown as a simplistic person with no dreams. Shukla family holds big businesses. Radhe's father Shuklaji has faced much humiliation from the society for his illiteracy. Shuklaji instead of educating himself and his family wants to get an educated wife for Radhe, wishing that she answers all his societal enemies. Radhe gets the news that his dad has fixed his marriage in neighboring town, Malihabad with the district topper Krishna, and he becomes happy with it. Shuklaji termed her as Radhe's "trophy wife".
Krishna, a motherless girl assists her dad, Dubey at his clinic, who is a non-degree allopathic practitioner. Dubey earns a living by his clinic and milk business. Krishna wants to become a doctor. She gets motivated by her best friend, lover and mentor Prashant, who runs a coaching centre and an IFS aspirant. Prashant asks her to drop all worries. He assures Krishna that he will convince Dubey to send her to London but fails afterwards. Krishna even tries to run from her wedding. Saajan, Radhe's childhood friend, with whom Radhe shares all his secrets motivates Radhe to marry Krishna.
After giving 17 lakhs as dowry, a bike for Radhe, leaving aside education, ambition to become a successful doctor, Krishna forced to marry Radhe. Krishna gets brutally tortured by Shuklaji and Shuklain too. Radhe saved her in some instances. Krishna's sister-in-law Laali often gets heavily beaten up by Gajanan, her husband, Radhe's elder brother. Krishna seeing it calls police, Gajanan gets imprisoned, but helpless Laali releases Gajanan. Moreover, Shuklain, who gets tortured by Shuklaji, and cunning Bela supports all this.
Shuklaji can't withstand Krishna, he wants Krishna to bow down before him. He takes help from Home Minister and sends Dubeyji to prison, who can only be bailed out with ten lakhs as bond. Prashant bails out Dubeyji. Radhe comes to know about Prashant and his relationship with Krishna. Shuklaji tries to humiliate Krishna infront of Radhe, but Radhe saves Krishna from the humiliation, but later questions Krishna about her relationship with Prashant. Dubey and his sister now forcefully want a divorce between Krishna and Radhe, admits guilt. Krishna refuses to divorce Radhe. Radhe stands for Krishna. Egotistic Shuklaji kicks Radhe and Krishna out of his house. They stay in Saajan's house.
Shuklaji fakes a heart attack, which brings Radhe and Krishna home. Later, he joins hand with Prashant to throw Krishna out of his house. Krishna comes up with an idea to educate Radhe. Shuklaji gives Krishna the responsibility to become his business accountant. Prashant and Shuklaji makes Radhe throw Krishna out of his house. Prashant clears IFS entrance exam and gets posted to London. Krishna explores Shuklaji's plans. She brings back Radhe's trust on her. Radhe with the help of Saajan fakes result of Krishna's medical entrance exam. Prashant comes to know that Krishna passed, even offered to study in London Medical college. Krishna and Radhe visits Mumbai to resolve Gajanan and Laliya's bitter married life where Radhe takes a bullet for Krishna and saves her from the goons.
Krishna slowly falls in love with Radhe, her trust on him increases. Returning from Mumbai Krishna learns from her father, aunt and Prashant that she passed the exam and comes to know more about it. Saajan is already imprisoned for hurting Prashant. Krishna questions Radhe's wrongdoing, and tells him that's not what love is. Radhe gets imprisoned on Prashant's lodged FIR. Krishna comes to know that Prashant was involved in making earlier plans with Shuklaji. After Krishna releases both Radhe and Saajan from prison, Radhe divorced her due to misunderstanding created by Prashant. Krishna too signs the divorce papers and fills the London medical college's application form, but both can't move on with their lives.
