Labynkyr Lake (Russian: Лабынкыр, Yakut: Лабыҥкыр) is a lake in Oymyakonsky Ulus, Sakha Republic, Russia. The lake is located near the borders of Khabarovsk Krai and Magadan Oblast. The surface area of the lake is 61 km² and is 1020 meters above mean sea level. It is 53 meters deep.

As told by legends, Labynkyr Lake is a place of a dreadful monster.[1][2] The Russian media has reported evidence of a large monster there. In 1999, the cryptozoological media group Kosmopoisk supposedly made an expedition to the remote lake in search of evidence of the creature.[citation needed]
