Lakshman Chandra Seth (born 11 April 1946), commonly known as Lakshman Seth, was an Indian politician from Tamluk, West Bengal, India. He was a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and is a former MP from Tamluk.[1]

He was expelled from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) for anti-party activities and charges of corruption and nepotism, and joined a party named National Confederacy of India as one of its Secretaries, but was also expelled from there within a month on charges of anti-party activities and factionalism.

He is the alleged mastermind of the Nandigram violence and also accused to have involved in disappearance of six persons during the same in 2007.[2][3] He was arrested from a Mumbai guest house in March, 2012 and got bail after 4 months.[4]
