The large-billed parrotlet (Forpus crassirostris) is a small parrot found from southeastern Colombia to northern Peru and western Brazil. It is sometimes considered a subspecies of the blue-winged parrotlet, and some taxonomic authorities (including the American Ornithological Society, still consider it so. The species blues are lighter than the blue-winged parrotlet, with primary coverts shading towards violet. It is generally smaller than the blue-winged parrotlet.
