Larissa Assis Bocchino (born April 28, 1998) is a Brazilian actress known for her performance in soap operas such as No Rancho Fundo and Guerreiros do Sol[1][2]

Biography[edit]

Born in Belo Horizonte, Larissa grew up in Contagem, started studying theater at the age of eleven, and at fourteen, she decided she wanted to be an actress. Two years later, she took a technical interpretation course at UFMG, which she combined with her final years in high school. Later, she graduated in literature (Portuguese and Italian) at that same university. Larissa was once an Italian teacher, balancing this job with being a party entertainer. In 2017, she opened her own production company, Labocca Filmes.[3]

Her theatrical debut as an actress took place in 2018, with the film Luna, by Cris Azzi, in which she played one of the protagonist's friends. That same year, she starred in the short film Teoria Sobre um Planeta Estranho, by Marco Antônio Pereira, playing a young woman with hearing impairment. This role earned her an award for New Actress at the Cine Jabó Festival, and the short itself received two Kikitos at the Gramado Festival. Afterwards, she recorded the short film AzulScuro and the feature film As Aventuras de Poliana - O Filme.[4]

In 2022, she participated in the competition Uma Nova Estrela para o Brasil, on the program Faustão na Band, which aimed to choose an actress for the HBO Max soap opera Beleza Fatal, which at the time was called Segundas Intenções. She reached the final stage, with fellow actress Izabela Prado as her opponent, but the jury, made up of Camila Pitanga, Alexandre Borges, Fafá de Belém and Alice Wegmann, could not decide between the two, and thus, Larissa and Izabela were crowned winners of the contest, which would give them roles in the streaming production.[5] However, the soap opera's constant delays and unforeseen events caused the work to be postponed, which meant that both Larissa and Izabela had an uncertain fate, and ended up being removed from the cast.

Larissa continued working, she participated in the series Vidas Bandidas, on Star +, and DNA do Crime, on Netflix. In 2023, she was cast in Guerreiros do Sol, a Globoplay streaming production in which she played Ivonete, Lampião's lover, and starred alongside Juliana Paes. And that same year, she passed the tests to play Quinota, the young protagonist of the six o'clock soap opera No Rancho Fundo.[6]

Personal life[edit]

Due to her career as an actress, Larissa had to move to Rio de Janeiro. She dates a boy named Gabriel, who she claims is her first love.[7] Recently, a behind-the-scenes video from No Rancho Fundo was released that shows Larissa sitting on the lap of her colleague José Loreto, with whom she forms a romantic pair, but she denied the rumors that they were having a relationship.[8] Larissa also denied rumors that she had suffered an accident during the recording of the global plot.[9]

Larissa is fluent in Italian and English, and also has knowledge of Libras.[10]
