Leptochloa Chinensis, common name is known as red sprangletop[1] or Chinese sprangletop, is a pasture grass and grazing feed grass in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Swaziland, West Africa, Fiji and Samoa.

It is known to be a pasture grass and is a livestock grazing specialty, but in some cases it is a common rice weed.
