Lestes viridulus[2][1] emerald-striped spreadwing,[3][4] is a damselfly species in the family Lestidae, the spreadwings. It is native to Bangladesh, India, and Thailand, where it is widespread. It likely occurs in Myanmar, as well.[1]

It is commonly found among long dry grass during the dry seasons; the colour of which it simulates closely. It can be easily distinguished from all other Lestes species by its uniform pale brown colour combined with a pair of dorsal thoracic metallic green stripes of uniform width.[5][6][7][3][4]
