Life is a Dream (French: Mémoire des apparences) is a 1987 French art film directed by Raúl Ruiz. It is a metafictional work about exile, cinema and mnemonics featuring characters and scenes from the Spanish Golden Age play Life Is a Dream (1635).[1]
