She is best known as being the main dancer, main rapper and sub-vocalist of South Korean girl group, Hello Venus. Lime debuted on May 9, 2012[1] together with the other Hello Venus members.

Career

Pre-debut

Lime was part of a training program, called Pre-School Girls, that would eventually become a member of sister group After School, but was chosen to be the member of Hello Venus instead. She was also in the pre-debut line-up of a girl group called Viva Girls; consisting of several members including Nine Muses member Kyungri, Kiss&Cry member So Yumi, and Dal Shabet member Woohee. However, the group disbanded and each girl left the company.

Lime wrote the rap lyrics of Scotch V.I.P's song "Finale" and also was a backup dancer for Chaeyeon. She also recorded a song called 'Listen To Me' with South Korean actor and singer Lee Jung. She also appeared in Honey Family's song "Drama Of Reverse" (역전의 드라마).

2012: Debut with Hello Venus

Her first actively promoted release was Hello Venus's debut mini-album Venus on May 9, 2012. 'Venus' features four tracks in all, with "Venus" serving as the promotional track.[2]

Promotions for "Venus" began on May 10, 2012, on M! Countdown without Yoonjo.[3] On July 4, 2012, together with the group, they released "Like a Wave", off the digital album Like a Wave (Digital Repackage).[4]

2013-present: Fanmeeting, Group comeback, SMTM4

On February 26, 9 months after their debut, the group held their first fanmeeting. They invited 200 fans for the event, which lasted 2 and a half hours. Tickets for the event were completely sold out in five minutes. They performed various songs including "Venus", "Like a Wave", and "What Are You Doing Today?".

Lime also covered some songs like "Ring My Bell" with Yooyoung and "Bye Bye Bye" with Alice.

Hello Venus' 3rd mini album debuted at #6 on Gaon Chart's national physical albums ranking. The mini album sold about eight thousand copies for the month of May.

After a year long hiatus Hello Venus came back with Sticky Sticky alongside two new members.

In early 2015 Hello Venus released new song "Wiggle Wiggle"

Lime auditioned for Show Me The Money but she failed to pass the first round.

Lyric composition

Lime has written the rap lyrics for several songs, including Scotch VIP's "Finale", as well as Hello Venus' "Hello", "Winter Fantasy", "What Are You Doing Today?" and "Would You Like To Stay For Tea?".
