The Line 6 of the Kunming Rail Transit (Chinese: 昆明轨道交通6号线; pinyin: Kūnmíng Guǐdào Jiāotōng Liù Hào Xiàn) also known as Airport Express (Chinese: 机场轨道交通线; pinyin: Jīchǎng Guǐdào Jiāotōng Xiàn) is an elevated Metro line that connects the Kunming Changshui International Airport with Kunming's urban center. The line is 18.18 kilometres (11.30 mi) in length and has current with two stops: East Bus Station in the city, and Airport Center at the airport. The line entered into operation on 28 June 2012. On subway maps, the Airport Line's color is teal.

One-way fare costs CN¥5.
Hours of Operation
Currently the hours of operation for line 6, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. Currently thedaytime frequency averages 20–30 minutes, and during peak hours, while it is expected to be reduced to every 5–10 minutes.
Line 6 trains travels at speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour (62 mph). On the initial operation one-way trip will take approximately 20 minutes.[1]
Route
Line 6 runs back and forth between Panlong and Guandu. Riders can transfer to Line3 once it operational at East Bus Station.

History
Construction of Line 6 began on 1 August 2010. Track-laying was completed around December 2011. Line 6 opened to public operation on 28 June 2012 with two initial stations (East Bus Station and Airport Center), on the opening day of Kunming Changshui International Airport to serve the passengers from the new airport to downtown Kunming.
