Lisgoold (Irish: Lios Cúil) is a small hamlet in East Cork, Ireland. The community church is St. John the Baptist and falls in Lisgoold Parish.[1] The town caters for a rural population of 2,763.[2][failed verification]
Sport
The local Gaelic Athletic Association club, Lisgoold GAA, have facilities in the village, with a modern gymnasium and two playing pitches. The club have Junior A hurling and football teams. The nearest soccer club is Carrigtwohill United AFC, which plays at Ballyadam, which is between Carrigtwohill and Lisgoold. Horse racing is also represented in the area, with the first "Point to Point" race of each season being held in the parish.
