List of Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger characters

Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger (動物戦隊ジュウオウジャー, Dōbutsu Sentai Jūōjā) is a Japanese tokusatsu drama in the Super Sentai Series. The eponymous Zyuohgers, one human and four anthropomorphic animals known as "Zyumans", protect the Earth from the evil Deathgaliens who wish to use the planet as the venue for their Blood Game.

Zyuohgers

The core five Zyuohgers are composed of four Zyumans (ジューマン, Jūman), humanoids with animal features from an alternate universe called Zyuland (ジューランド, Jūrando), and one human who fight together to defend Earth from the Deathgaliens. Each Zyuohger carries a Zyuoh Changer (ジュウオウチェンジャー, Jūō Chenjā), a cuboid-like device which they use to transform, control their mecha, disguise the Zyuman members of the team as normal humans and use as a cellphone, and a Zyuoh Buster (ジュウオウバスター, Jūō Basutā), a sidearm that has both a Sword Mode (剣モード, Ken Mōdo) for the finishing move Zyuoh Slash (ジュウオウスラッシュ, Jūō Surasshu) and a Gun Mode (銃モード, Jū Mōdo) for the finishing move Zyuoh Shoot (ジュウオウシュート, Jūō Shūto). They also possess a special mode known as Wild Release (野生解放, Yasei Kaihō) that associates each of them with the animal they represent, manifesting certain features from said animal once this ability has been activated. The Zyuohgers later gain another human member that was originally captured and brainwashed to fight for the Deathgaliens, but joins their side after he breaks free from the villains' control with their help.

Yamato Kazakiri

Yamato Kazakiri (風切 大和, Kazakiri Yamato) is a young zoologist with empathy for humans and animals alike who can transform into the red-colored Zyuoh Eagle (ジュウオウイーグル, Jūō Īguru). During his childhood, he got lost in a forest during a stormy night after running away from his home due to a scuffle with his parents and was rescued by a mysterious eagle Zyuman who presented him with a cube known as the Champion's Proof (王者の資格, Ōja no Shikaku), which he kept as a good luck charm. Years later, Yamato discovers a massive structure known as the Link Cube (リンクキューブ, Rinku Kyūbu) which serves as the gateway between Earth and Zyuland, and uses the Champion's Proof to travel to the other side, where he meets the other Zyuohgers for the first time. Once back on Earth, the Champion's Proofs in his and the other Zyuohgers' possession transform into the Zyuoh Changers to help them fend off the Deathgaliens' first attack, but with the Link Cube destroyed and the sixth Champion's Proof gone missing, the other Zyuohgers end up stranded on Earth and Yamato decides to shelter them. Yamato later discovers that his vision has increased to superhuman levels after he became a Zyuohger, allowing him to see far distances and dodge enemy attacks much faster. With the help of the gorilla Zyuman Larry, Yamato gains the ability to transform from Zyuoh Eagle into Zyuoh Gorilla (ジュウオウゴリラ, Jūō Gorira). With help from the Gokaigers, the Zyuohgers gain the Whale Change Gun (ホエールチェンジガン, Hoēru Chenji Gan) with which Yamato can use to transform into Zyuoh Whale (ジュウオウホエール, Jūō Hoēru).

• As the Champion of the Skies (大空の王者, Ōzora no Ōja) Zyuoh Eagle, Yamato's Wild Release mode grants him a pair of eagle wings on his arms which allow him to fly and strike enemies from above at high speed. He also wields the Eagriser (イーグライザー, Īguraizā), a sword that can extend and be used like a whip as well as allow him to perform the finishing move Riser Spinning Slash (ライザースピニングスラッシュ, Raizā Supiningu Surasshu).
• As the Champion of the Jungle (ジャングルの王者, Janguru no Ōja) Zyuoh Gorilla, Yamato assumes a large muscular form with far more physical strength and can produce a powerful wind from his nostrils. By combining his energy with the other Zyuohgers, Zyuoh Gorilla is able to perform the finishing move Gorilla Super Punch (ゴリラスーパーパンチ, Gorira Sūpā Panchi).
• As the Champion of the Champions (王者の中の王者, Ōja no Naka no Ōja) Zyuoh Whale, Yamato uses the Whale Change Gun to unleash powerful shooting attacks. His finishing move is the Zyuoh Final (ジュウオウファイナル, Jūō Fainaru), which can get even stronger by combining his energy with the other Zyuohgers.

Yamato Kazakiri is portrayed by Masaki Nakao (中尾 暢樹, Nakao Masaki). As a child, Yamato is portrayed by Shuri Ayuba (阿由葉 朱凌, Ayuba Shuri).

Sela

Sela (セラ, Sera) is a shark Zyuman with a sharp sense of hearing who transforms into the blue-colored Zyuoh Shark (ジュウオウシャーク, Jūō Shāku). She is very competitive and does not like to show any of her weaknesses.

As the Champion of the Rough Seas (荒海の王者, Araumi no Ōja) Zyuoh Shark, Sela's Wild Release mode grants her a shark dorsal fin on her back which allows her to swim in all kinds of surfaces as if they were made of water as well as launch herself into a spinning attack with the fin acting as a sawblade.

Sela is portrayed by Miki Yanagi (柳 美稀, Yanagi Miki).

Leo

Leo (レオ, Reo) is a lion Zyuman with a loud roar who transforms into the yellow-colored Zyuoh Lion (ジュウオウライオン, Jūō Raion). Usually calm, Leo actually has a bad temper, but is sensitive to his surroundings and is considerate towards those weaker than himself.

As the Champion of the Savanna (サバンナの王者, Sabanna no Ōja) Zyuoh Lion, Leo's Wild Release mode grants him a pair of lion claw-like gauntlets which allow him to scratch and slash enemies.

Leo is portrayed by Shohei Nanba (南羽 翔平, Nanba Shōhei).

Tusk

Tusk (タスク, Tasuku) is an elephant Zyuman with a sharp sense of smell who transforms into the green-colored Zyuoh Elephant (ジュウオウエレファント, Jūō Erefanto). He is from a wealthy family and is also the most intelligent member of the team who seems to have a soft spot for Amu, a fact he denies. He is seemingly unnaproachable at first, but is actually very kind. He at first refused to take refuge under Yamato since he accused him of stealing a Champion's Proof and did not wish to be indebted to him. But Tusk changes his mind after learning of Yamato's past.

As the Champion of the Forests (森林の王者, Shinrin no Ōja) Zyuoh Elephant, Tusk's Wild Release mode grants him a pair of elephant hoof-like boots which allow him to create shockwaves when he pounds the ground.

Tusk is portrayed by Tsurugi Watanabe (渡邉 剣, Watanabe Tsurugi).

Amu

Amu (アム) is a white tiger Zyuman with a sharp sense of taste who transforms into the white-colored Zyuoh Tiger (ジュウオウタイガー, Jūō Taigā). Mischievous, but shrewd, Amu is always prone to help those in need. She is easily influenced by trends and has an affinity for pretty things.

As the Champion of the Snow Fields (雪原の王者, Setsugen no Ōja) Zyuoh Tiger, Amu's Wild Release mode grants her a pair of tiger claw-like gauntlets which allow her to strike and pounce enemies from a distance.

Amu is portrayed by Haruka Tateishi (立石 晴香, Tateishi Haruka).

Misao Mondo

Misao Mondo (門藤 操, Mondō Misao) is a human kidnapped and brainwashed by the Deathgaliens to fight for them. After Genis infuses his body with the souls of three Zyumans (a rhinoceros Zyuman, a wolf Zyuman, and a crocodile Zyuman) also held prisoner by him, Misao is transformed into a tricolored artificial Zyuohger called The World (ザワールド, Za Wārudo) to serve as an Extra Player (エクストラプレイヤー, Ekusutora Pureiyā) in the Blood Games to counter the core five Zyuohgers. However, Yamato and the others manage to break him free from Genis' mind control. Then with moral support from the three Zyumans inside his mind, Misao develops more self-confidence by letting go of his regret over everything the Deathgaliens subjugated him into doing, especially the deaths of the three Zyumans, although he is still prone to getting depressed easily when conflicted about the notion of criticism and failure, and joins the Zyuohgers while reveal his true name himself Zyuoh The World (ジュウオウザワールド, Jūō Za Wārudo). Misao later discovers that his sense of touch has been enhanced due to the rhinoceros Zyuman power, allowing him to either detect danger through the tip of his fingers or feel the heartbeat of others just by holding their hands.

As the Champion of the World (世界の王者, Sekai no Ōja) Zyuoh The World, Misao uses the flashlight-like Zyuoh The Light (ジュウオウザライト, Jūō Za Raito) to transform, control his mecha and access each of his Zyuman powers either separately or all at once. His sidearm is the Zyuoh The GunRod (ジュウオウザガンロッド, Jūō Za Gan Roddo), which has three modes that are each compatible with one of Zyuoh The World's different colored forms.

• Rhinos Form (ライノスフォーム, Rainosu Fōmu): Zyuoh The World's default black form, balanced in power and agility, where he is able to utilize the Fishing Mode (フィッシングモード, Fisshingu Mōdo) of his Zyuoh The GunRod like a whip. He can also activate his own Wild Release mode known as Great Wild Release (野生大解放, Yasei Dai Kaihō) where he unleashes the power of the three animals he represents all at once: a pair of rhinoceros horn-like shoulder pads which allow him to ram into his enemies, a crocodile tail on his right arm for whipping, and a wolf claw on his left hand for slashing. While in this mode, Zyuoh The World is able to perform the finishing move World The Crash (ワールドザクラッシュ, Wārudo Za Kurasshu).
• Wolf Form (ウルフフォーム, Urufu Fōmu): Zyuoh The World's speed-oriented silver form where he is able to utilize the Gun Mode (ガンモード, Gan Mōde) of his Zyuoh The GunRod for long range combat, as well as to perform the finishing move Zyuoh The Burst (ジュウオウザバースト, Jūō Za Bāsuto).
• Crocodile Form (クロコダイルフォーム, Kurokodairu Fōmu): Zyuoh The World's strength-oriented gold form where he is able to utilize the Rod Mode (ロッドモード, Roddo Mōdo) of his Zyuoh The GunRod for close range combat, as well as to perform the finishing move Zyuoh The Finish (ジュウオウザフィニッシュ, Jūō Za Finisshu).

Misao Mondo is portrayed by Naoki Kunishima (國島 直希, Kunishima Naoki).

Bud

A mysterious eagle Zyuman that the Zyuohgers labeled as the "Bird Man" (鳥男, Tori-otoko), Bud (バド, Bado) was the one who gave Yamato his Champion's Proof. He harbors a contempt for his people's racism towards humans, he stole the sixth Champion's Proof after the Link Cube is destroyed to prevent all access to it while also using it to disguise himself as a human just like Sela, Leo, Tusk and Amu. Despite all of that, he somehow cares about Yamato and has saved his life on a few occasions, going to the heights of sharing with him some of his Zyuman power when they first met to help him at the expense of shortening his lifespan. He is also an acquaintance of Larry, who knows his true name. Eventually, Bud manages to convert his Champion's Proof into an enhanced version of the Zyuoh Changer called Zyuoh Changer Final (ジュウオウチェンジャーファイナル, Jūō Chenjā Fainaru), which he can use to transform into an orange-colored version of Zyuoh Eagle called Zyuoh Bird (ジュウオウバード, Jūō Bādo).

As the Champion of the Heavens (天空の王者, Tenkū no Ōja) Zyuoh Bird, Bud is equipped with his own version of the Eagriser which allows him to perform two finishing moves: Riser Spinning Slash and Glide Feather Slash (グライドフェザースラッシュ, Guraido Fezā Surasshu). Also, like Zyuoh Eagle, his Wild Release mode grants him a pair of eagle wings on his arms which allow him to fly and strike enemies from above at high speed. Unlike Yamato, Bud can use this ability untransformed.

Bud is portrayed by Kohei Murakami (村上 幸平, Murakami Kōhei).

Zyuoh Cubes

The Zyuohgers possess mechas called Zyuoh Cubes (ジュウオウキューブ, Jūō Kyūbu), which are small enough to fit in the palm of a hand but can grow to a giant size when summoned into battle, enough for them to be piloted by the Zyuohgers. Almost every Zyuoh Cube has two different forms: Cube Mode (キューブモード, Kyūbu Mōdo) and Animal Mode (動物モード, Dōbutsu Mōdo). Each one of the main Zyuoh Cubes are marked with a number from one to ten.

1. Cube Eagle (キューブイーグル, Kyūbu Īguru): Zyuoh Eagle's personal Zyuoh Cube. It can fire lasers from the turbine on its back and perform a flaming divebomb attack.
2. Cube Shark (キューブシャーク, Kyūbu Shāku): Zyuoh Shark's personal Zyuoh Cube. It has a powerful bite attack and can both fly and swim.
3. Cube Lion (キューブライオン, Kyūbu Raion): Zyuoh Lion's personal Zyuoh Cube. It fires a lightning blast from his mouth which it also uses to bite its opponents.
4. Cube Elephant (キューブエレファント, Kyūbu Erefanto): Zyuoh Elephant's personal Zyuoh Cube. Its trunk can be used both to shoot an energy beam or to spread an extinguishing mist to put out wildfires.
5. Cube Tiger (キューブタイガー, Kyūbu Taigā): Zyuoh Tiger's personal Zyuoh Cube. It is armed with an extra pair of claws on its back to shoot boomerang-like energy blades at opponents.
6. Cube Gorilla (キューブゴリラ, Kyūbu Gorira): Zyuoh Gorilla's personal Zyuoh Cube. It relies on its massive strength and is armed with the Big Wild Cannon (ビッグワイルドキャノン, Biggu Wairudo Kyanon) mounted on its shoulder.
7. Cube Crocodile (キューブクロコダイル, Kyūbu Kurokodairu): The first of Zyuoh The World's personal Zyuoh Cubes. It capable of swimming and attacks with an energy beam fired from its mouth. It also has a powerful bite and can eat smaller enemy vessels like the Deathgalien's Triangular.
8. Cube Wolf (キューブウルフ, Kyūbu Urufu): The second of Zyuoh The World's personal Zyuoh Cubes. It uses its speed and agility to confund enemies while attacking them with mouth fired energy bolts. It can also fire a sonic beam in its cube mode.
9. Cube Rhinos (キューブライノス, Kyūbu Rainosu): The third of Zyuoh The World's personal Zyuoh Cubes. Unlike most other Zyuoh Cubes, it lacks a cube form of its own by Genis' modification and instead acts as a truck-like carrier for Cubes Crocodile and Wolf.
10. Cube Whale (キューブホエール, Kyūbu Hoēru): Zyuoh Whale's personal Zyuoh Cube. It is capable of both swimming and flying, also armed with massive torpedoes. Including its cube and animal forms, it also has a third, alternate form, accessed via Animal Transformation (動物変形, Dōbutsu Henkei), that is the giant robot Dodekaioh (ドデカイオー, Dōdekaiō) that wields the Kaioh Spear (カイオースピア, Kaiō Supia) with which it can perform the finishing move Dodekai Ocean Splash (ドデカイオーシャンスプラッシュ, Dodekai Ōshan Supurasshu). The Kaioh Spear can also shrink down to be used by its owner.

Zyuoh Cube Weapons

The Zyuoh Cube Weapons (ジュウオウキューブウエポン, Jūō Kyūbu Uepon) are smaller Zyuoh Cubes which can not be piloted by the Zyuohgers, but can also change into a different Weapon Mode (ウエポンモード, Uepon Mōdo) to combine with their mecha for extra firepower. Instead of being marked with numbers and being named in English like the main Zyuoh Cubes, they are marked with an exclamation point (!) and are named in Japanese.

• Cube Kirin (キューブキリン, Kyūbu Kirin) is an orange giraffe-shaped Zyuoh Cube Weapon that arms Zyuoh King with the Kirin Bazooka (キリンバズーカ, Kirin Bazūka) with which it can perform the finishing move Kirin Bazooka Zyuoh Fire (キリンバズーカ・ジュウオウファイア, Kirin Bazūka Jūō Faia).
• Cube Mogura (キューブモグラ, Kyūbu Mogura) is a violet mole-shaped Zyuoh Cube Weapon that arms Zyuoh Wild with the Mogura Drill (モグラドリル, Mogura Doriru) with which it can perform the finishing move Mogura Drill Zyuoh Break (モグラドリル・ジュウオウブレイク, Mogura Doriru Jūō Bureiku).
• Cube Kuma (キューブクマ, Kyūbu Kuma) is a brown bear-shaped Zyuoh Cube Weapon that arms Wild Zyuoh King with the Kuma Ax (クマアックス, Kuma Akkusu) with which it can perform the finishing move Kuma Ax Zyuoh Impact (クマアックス・ジュウオウインパクト, Kuma Akkusu Jūō Inpakuto).
  • Cube Panda (キューブパンダ, Kyūbu Panda) is Cube Kuma's golden panda-shaped evolved form that arms Wild Zyuoh King with the Panda Ax (パンダックス, Panda Akkusu).
• Cube Komori (キューブコウモリ, Kyūbu Kōmori) is a navy bat-shaped Zyuoh Cube Weapon that arms Tousai Zyuoh with the Komori Boomerang (コウモリブーメラン, Kōmori Būmeran) with which it can perform the finishing move Komori Boomerang Zyuoh Cutter (コウモリブーメラン・ジュウオウカッター, Kōmori Būmeran Jūō Kattā).
• Cube Hyou (キューブヒョウ, Kyūbu Hyō) is a yellow leopard-shaped Zyuoh Cube Weapon that transforms into the Hyou Hammer (ヒョウウハンマー, Hyou Hanmā).
• Cube Shimauma (キューブシマウマ, Kyūbu Shimauma) is a black and white zebra-shaped Zyuoh Cube Weapon that transforms into the Shimauma Launcher (シマウマランチャー, Shimauma Ranchā).
• Cube Kamonohashi (キューブカモノハシ, Kyūbu Kamonohashi) is a cyan platypus-shaped Zyuoh Cube Weapon that transforms into the Kamonohashi Laser (カモノハシレーザー, Kamonohashi Rēzā).
• Cube Fukurou (キューブフクロウ, Kyūbu Fukurō) is a green owl-shaped Zyuoh Cube Weapon that transforms into the Fukurou Cutter (フクロウカッター, Fukurou Kattā).

Big Zyuoh Cube Weapons

The Big Zyuoh Cube Weapons (ビッグジュウオウキューブウエポン, Biggu Jūō Kyūbu Uepon) are larger, special Zyuoh Cube Weapons that combine with the Zyuohgers' mecha to give them new abilities. Unlike the regular Zyuoh Cube Weapons, they are inscribed with a question mark (?) and are named in English.

• Cube Octopus (キューブオクトパス, Kyūbu Okutopasu) is a green octopus-shaped Big Zyuoh Cube Weapon that can combine with Zyuoh King into Zyuoh King Octopus (ジュウオウキングオクトパス, Jūō Kingu Okutopasu), which has the ability to fly and perform the Octopus Zyuoh Bomber (オクトパス・ジュウオウボンバー, Okutopasu Jūō Bonbā). Its finishing move is the Octopus Zyuoh Slash (オクトパス・ジュウオウ斬り, Okutopasu Jūō Giri).

Animal Combinations

The Zyuohgers can assemble three Zyuoh Cubes into larger mecha via Animal Combination (動物合体, Dōbutsu Gattai).

Zyuoh King

Cube Eagle can combine with two other Zyuoh Cubes in specific arrangements to form the giant robot Zyuoh King (ジュウオウキング, Jūō Kingu), with the Zyuoh Cubes used in the transformation identified by their numbers.

• Zyuoh King 1-2-3 is the default arrangement composed of Cubes Eagle, Shark, and Lion that wields the King Sword (キングソード, Kingu Sōdo) with which it can perform the finishing move King Sword Zyuoh Slash (キングソード・ジュウオウ斬り, Kingu Sōdo Jūō Giri).
• Zyuoh King 1-5-4 is an alternate arrangement composed of Cubes Eagle, Tiger, and Elephant that is more martial arts-oriented and usually fights barehanded. Its finishing move is the Zyuoh Megaton Kick (ジュウオウメガトンキック, Jūō Megaton Kikku).
• Zyuoh King 1-2-3-4-5 is a special arrangement composed of Cubes Eagle, Shark, Lion, Elephant, and Tiger that only appears in the film Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger the Movie: The Exciting Circus Panic.

Zyuoh Wild

Cube Gorilla can combine with two other Zyuoh Cubes in specific arrangements to form the giant robot Zyuoh Wild (ジュウオウワイルド, Jūō Wairudo), with the Zyuoh Cubes used in the transformation identified by their numbers. Each of Zyuoh Wild's formations wield the Wild Cannon (ワイルドキャノン, Wairudo Kyanon) with which it can perform the finishing move Wild Cannon Beam (ワイルドキャノンビーム, Wairudo Kyanon Bīmu). Its primary finishing move is the Wild Rocket Knuckle (ワイルドロケットナックル, Wairudo Roketto Nakkuru).

• Zyuoh Wild 6-5-4 is the default arrangement composed of Cubes Gorilla, Tiger, and Elephant.
• Zyuoh Wild 6-2-3 is an alternate arrangement composed of Cubes Gorilla, Shark, and Lion.
• Zyuoh Wild Special (ジュウオウワイルドスペシャル, Jūō Wairudo Supesharu) is a special arrangement composed of Cubes Gorilla, Tiger, Lion, Elephant, Kirin, and Mogura.

Tousai Zyuoh

Cubes Crocodile, Wolf, and Rhinos can combine together into Zyuoh The World's personal giant robot Tousai Zyuoh (トウサイジュウオー, Tōsai Jūō). By launching Cubes Crocodile and Wolf from its body, they can slam into the enemy with great force. Its finishing move is the Tousai Triple The Beast (トウサイトリプルザビースト, Tōsai Toripuru Za Bīsuto).

Condor Wild

A combination of Cubes Condor, Tiger and Elephant, Condor Wild (コンドルワイルド, Kondoru Wairudo) that only appears in the film Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger the Movie: The Exciting Circus Panic!. Its finishing move is the Condor Rocket Knuckle (コンドルロケットナックル, Kondoru Roketto Nakkuru).

Great Animal Combinations

The Zyuohgers later gain the power to assemble a larger number of Zyuoh Cubes, including their Zyuoh Cube Weapons, into stronger mecha via Great Animal Combination (動物大合体, Dōbutsu Dai Gattai).

Wild Zyuoh King

The Zyuoh Cubes from 1 to 6 can combine with Cubes Kirin and Mogura to form the giant robot Wild Zyuoh King (ワイルドジュウオウキング, Wairudo Jūō Kingu). Like Zyuoh King, it can wield the King Sword for battle. Its finishing move is the Zyuoh Dynamic Strike (ジュウオウダイナミックストライク, Jūō Dainamikku Sutoraiku).

Wild Tousai King

The Zyuoh Cubes from 1 to 9 can combine with Cubes Kirin, Mogura, Kuma, and Komori to form the giant robot Wild Tousai King (ワイルドトウサイキング, Wairudo Tōsai Kingu). It is armed with both the Big King Sword (ビッグキングソード, Biggu Kingu Sōdo) on its right arm and the Big Wild Cannon on its left arm. It can perform one of the following finishing moves:

• Zyuoh Direct Straight (ジュウオウダイレクトストレート, Jūō Dairekuto Sutorēto): Performed with the Big King Sword.
• Zyuoh Direct Shot (ジュウオウダイレクトショット, Jūō Dairekuto Shotto): Performed with the Big Wild Cannon.
• Zyuoh Forty Anniversary (ジュウオウフォーティーアニバーサリー, Jūō Fōtī Anibāsarī): Performed with the Big King Sword by combining the power of the Zyuohgers with those from the previous 39 Super Sentai's Ranger Keys while teaming up with the Gokaigers.

Wild Tousai Dodeka King

The ten main Zyuoh Cubes can combine with Cubes Kirin, Mogura, Kuma, and Komori to form the Zyuohgers' ultimate robot Wild Tousai Dodeka King (ワイルドトウサイドデカキング, Wairudo Tōsai Dodeka Kingu) via All Animals Combination (動物全合体, Dōbutsu Zen Gattai). It is armed with both the Kirin Bazooka on its right arm and the Mogura Drill on its left arm with which it can perform the Zyuoh Dodeka Shot (ジュウオウドデカショット, Jūō Dodeka Shotto). Its finishing move is the Zyuoh Dodeka Dynamite Stream (ジュウオウドデカダイナマイトストリーム, Jūō Dodeka Dainamaito Sutorīmu).

Allies

Mario Mori

Mario Mori (森 真理夫, Mori Mario) is Yamato's maternal uncle, who is the younger brother of his late mother Wakako (和歌子). He owns a workshop in the woods where he makes sculptures of animals, and sometimes can be seen cosplaying as different animals to seek inspiration for his works. Yamato sends the Zyumans to live with him, as they cannot be seen in normal society until they can control their animal instincts. At the same time, he has no awareness of his guests' true nature. Mario is the person Yamato admires the most and his vast knowledge of animals is what inspired his nephew to become a zoologist.

Mario Mori is portrayed by Susumu Terajima (寺島 進, Terajima Susumu).

Larry

Larry (ラリー, Rarī) is a gorilla Zyuman and anthropologist who got stranded in the human world once the Champion's Proof that is currently in Yamato's possession was removed from the Link Cube. He enjoyed studying humans at first, but started to loathe them because he was feared and shunned every time he tried to make contact with them, until he meets Yamato and discovers that he does not fear him at all. However, when Yamato is gravely wounded during a fight with Azald, Larry donates a large portion of his vital energy to save him via his Champion's Proof. This gesture of mercy also bestows the Zyuohger the power to transform into Zyuoh Gorilla, but greatly shortens Larry's lifespan, although the Zyuman claims that he does not regret it at all because thanks to their meeting, his admiration for humans was renewed. He also an old friend of Bud, reuniting with him on a later occasion. After learning that his people are racist towards humans from Bud, Larry is one of the Zyumans who escapes to Earth because of this reason.

Larry is voiced by Unshō Ishizuka (石塚 運昇, Ishizuka Unshō).

"Rhino Man", "Crocodile Man" and "Wolf Man"

The "Rhino Man" (犀男, Sai-otoko), the "Crocodile Man" (鰐男, Wani-otoko) and the "Wolf Man" (狼男, Ōkami-otoko) are three Zyumans that were captured by the Deathgaliens in order to have their lifeforce transferred into Misao to become The World, killing them in the process. Initially haunting Misao upon his freedom from the Deathgalien's servitude, all three of them decided to encourage him instead and give him a new resolve to fight at the Zyuohgers' side. They also appear occasionally in Misao's mind to give him some advice. Each Zyuman serve a different role in Misao's subconscious: the "Crocodile Man" and "Wolf Man" act like a pair of manzai, while the "Rhino Man" appears to be wiser and always halts the former two's bickering.

The "Rhino Man", the "Crocodile Man" and the "Wolf Man" are voiced by Volcano Ōta (ボルケーノ太田, Borukēno Ōta), Mitsuaki Kanuka (かぬか 光明, Kanuka Mitsuaki) and Hidenori Takahashi (高橋 英則, Takahashi Hidenori) respectively.

Perle

Perle (ペルル, Peruru) is a young, orphaned condor Zyuman born on Earth who is a member of the travelling Zyuman circus. He appears exclusively in the film Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger the Movie: The Exciting Circus Panic!

• Cube Condor (キューコンドル, Kyūbu Kondoru): Perle's indigo-colored Zyuoh Cube marked with the number 0 which allows him to see visions.

Perle is voiced by Ririne Sasano (笹野 鈴々音, Sasano Ririne).

Cetus

Cetus (ケタス, Ketasu) is a whale Zyuman from ancient times who was the founder and first great king of Zyuland. He once fought a monster who threatened him and his fellow Zyumans where he used the power of the Whale Change Gun to transform into the first Zyuohger, Zyuoh Whale, and defeat it. Afterwards, he sealed the Whale Change Gun inside the Great Champion's Proof (大王者の資格, Dai Ōja no Shikaku) and hid it within the Link Cube along with a recorded message containing his story for future generations of Zyuman to find. In present days, this message is shown to Captain Marvelous and the Zyuohgers when they discover the Great Champion's Proof inside the Link Cube. When Yamato brands the Whale Change Gun, Cetus' Zyuman power is transferred to him, allowing him to transform into Zyuoh Whale as well.

Cetus is voiced by Chō (チョー), who is also the series' narrator and voice of the Zyuohgers' equipment.

Deathgaliens

The Space Outlaws Deathgalien (宇宙の無法者デスガリアン, Uchū no Muhōmono Desugarian) are a group of alien rogues who travel around space in their starship known as the Sagittariark (サジタリアーク, Sajitariāku) hunting down the life of other planets for sport as part of their Blood Game (ブラッドゲーム, Buraddo Gēmu). Earth was chosen as the site for their 100th Blood Game and it was seemingly defenseless against their attack until the Zyuohgers were assembled.

Ginis

The owner of the Deathgaliens, Ginis (ジニス, Jinisu) is the host of the Blood Games. The winner of the Blood Games is chosen according to whoever amuses him the most and after Jagged's defeat by the Zyuohgers, he offers a special prize to the one who hunts them down. After seeing Zyuoh Eagle's initial transformation into Zyuoh Gorilla, Ginis captured Misao Mondo to recreate the conditions with three Zyumans, brainwashing the altered human to become an Extra Player and enforcer in the Blood Games until Yamato freed Misao from the Deathgalien's mind control.

Ginis is voiced by Kazuhiko Inoue (井上 和彦, Inoue Kazuhiko).

• Gift (ギフト, Gifuto) is a powerful robot of mass destruction created by Ginis, which was rarely used in the Blood Games as it tends to make them too one-sided. It is capable of enlarging itself without the need of a Continue Medal and possess several weapons at its disposal, including the Power Nozzle (パワーノズル, Pawā Nozuru), Powered Titan Drill (強化チタンドリル, Kyōka Chitan Doriru), 3500mm Disc Saw (3500mmディスクソー, Sanzengohyaku-mirimētoru Disuku Sō), Grapple Hand (グラップルハンド, Gurappuru Hando) and its main weapon, the Ablation Railguns (アブレーションレールガン, Aburēshon Rērugan) that can destroy entire planets. It is eventually destroyed by Wild Zyuoh King.

Naria

Naria (ナリア) is Ginis' secretary and is usually tasked to bring special golden Continue Medals (コンティニューメダル, Kontinyū Medaru), Moeba Medals containing Ginis' cells, to fallen Team Leaders and Players in order to revive and enlarge them. In battle, she wields a nunchaku that can also be used as a gun.

Naria is voiced by Minako Kotobuki (寿 美菜子, Kotobuki Minako).

• Gift Custom (ギフトカスタム, Gifuto Kasutamu) is an upgraded version of Ginis' original Gift destruction machine, armed with the Big Pile Launcher (ビッグパイルランチャー, Biggu Pairu Ranchā) and the 12-Tube Missile Pod (12連ミサイルポッド, Jūni-ren Misairu Poddo). Instead of being automated, this model is piloted by Naria. It is destroyed by Dodekaioh, but Naria bails out before, taking with her a record of battle data by Ginis' request.

Azald

Azald (アザルド, Azarudo) is one of the Team Leaders who enjoys making his victims suffer physically. He wields a large sword and has the ability to restore himself upon destroyed. Players from his team tend to rely on raw strength and firepower.

Azald is voiced by Joji Nakata (中田 譲治, Nakata Jōji).

Quval

Quval (クバル, Kubaru) is another Team Leader who enjoys making his victims suffer mentally. He possesses a handle weapon that has a blaster and rapier mode. Players from his team tend to rely on strategy and deception. According to Bungray after scanning his memory, Quval is in fact the sole survivor of a world destroyed by the Deathgaliens and joined the organization under false pretenses to have his revenge. Quval attempted to kill the hunter when he learned of his hidden agenda, only to end up forming an alliance where he aids Bungray in his hunt for Cube Whale in return that the hunter helps him overthrow Ginis. But when the alliance falters, Quval chops off Bungray's right forearm and implants it in his own arm to gain Bangray's mind reading powers.

Quval is voiced by Mitsuo Iwata (岩田 光央, Iwata Mitsuo).

Jagged

Jagged (ジャグド, Jagudo) is another Team Leader and the first of the Deathgaliens to attack Earth and confront the Zyuohgers. He is armed with the Stiblaster Cannon (スティブラスターカノン, Sutiburasutā Kanon) on his left arm. He is defeated by Zyuoh Eagle at the start of the Blood Game, just as the Zyuohgers gain their powers. After being enlarged by a Continue Medal, he is finally destroyed by Zyuoh King 1-2-3. Some time after his demise, two remaining Players on his team take part in the Blood Game aiming to prove themselves in order to be promoted to Team Leaders as well, only to have both of them be destroyed by the Zyuohgers.

Jagged is voiced by Eiji Takemoto (竹本 英史, Takemoto Eiji).

Moebas

The amoeba-like Moebas (メーバ, Mēba) are the Deathgaliens' footsoldiers, summoned from silver Moeba Medals (メーバメダル, Mēba Medaru) that their superiors bring with themselves. They also pilot the pyramid-shaped Triangular (トライアングラー, Toraiangurā) fighter craft.

Players

Deathgaliens send out their Blood Game's Players (プレイヤー, Pureiyā) to Earth to cause mayhem, leading the Zyuohgers to have to fight back to save the world. Each Player possesses a Medal Slot on their bodies which allows them to revive and enlarge when a Continue Medal is placed in it. With the arrival of Bangray, they are usually duplicated by the Megabeast Hunter to be used as his soldiers against the Zyuohgers. The Deathgalien Players are named and themed after their respective weapons or tricks:

• Halbergoi (ハルバゴイ, Harubagoi) is a Player on Team Azald and the first Player to arrive on Earth. He wields the Yarisugisspear (ヤリスギッスピア, Yarisugissupia) halberd and has the ability to summon a hailing barrage of Yarisugisspears, as well as the ability to enlarge the halberd. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Halbergoi is enlarged before being destroyed by Zyuoh King 1-5-4. Sometime later, he was duplicated by Bangray from Yamato's memory to serve as a distraction for the Zyuohgers before running away. Voiced by Tetsu Shiratori (白鳥 哲, Shiratori Tetsu).
• Bowguns (ボウガンス, Bōgansu) is a Player on Team Azald. He wields the Gunsbow (ガンスボウ, Gansubō) crossbow. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Bowguns is enlarged before being destroyed by Zyuoh King 1-5-4 armed with the Kirin Bazooka. Voiced by Yohei Obayashi (大林 洋平, Ōbayashi Yōhei).
• Amigarudo (アミガルド) is a Player on Team Quval. He is armed with the double-bladed Fightomahawk (ファイトマホーク, Faitomahōku) axe. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Amigarudo is enlarged before being destroyed by Zyuoh King 1-2-3 armed with the Kirin Bazooka. Voiced by Tetsuo Kanao (金尾 哲夫, Kanao Tetsuo).
• Gaburio (ガブリオ) is a Player on Team Azald who has the Crisistomach (クライシストマック, Kuraishisutomakku) and uses his huge jaw to eat anything he sees, even buildings. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Gaburio is enlarged before being destroyed by Zyuoh Wild 6-5-4. Voiced by Wataru Takagi (高木 渉, Takagi Wataru).
• Yabiker (ヤバイカー, Yabaikā) is a Player on Team Azald. He is armed with the nail bat-like Yoroshiku Rod (夜露死苦路道, Yoroshiku Roddo) and has the ability to produce noise from the Muffrappa (マフラッパー, Mafurappā) bell on his right shoulder to turn his targets mad. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Yabiker is enlarged before being destroyed by Zyuoh King 1-2-3 and Zyuoh Wild 6-5-4. Sometime later, he was duplicated by Bangray as a distraction for Yamato/Zyuoh Gorilla while he made his way to attack Daichi, Yamato's friend during his wedding before being destroyed by the Zyuohger himself. Voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama (檜山 修之, Hiyama Nobuyuki).
• Hanayaida (ハナヤイダー, Hanayaidā) is a Player on Team Quval. He is armed with the Josui Joro (ジョースイジョーロ, Jōsui Jōro) watering pot that can also be used to create a Planter Protector (プランタープロテクター, Purantā Purotekutā) shield. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Hanayaida is enlarged before being destroyed by Zyuoh Wild 6-2-3 armed with the Mogura Drill. Voiced by Masami Iwasaki (岩崎 征実, Iwasaki Masami).
• Hattena (ハッテナー, Hattenā) is a Player on Team Quval. His true body is his cap, while he possesses the seemingly indestructible Dummy Bio Body (ダミーバイオボディ, Damī Baio Bodi) armed with the Queschopper (クエスチョッパー, Kuesuchoppā) rod. Hattena is sent to Earth to rob humans of the ability to communicate. Though defeated by Zyuoh Elephant, Hattena is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Zyuoh King. Voiced by Nobuo Tobita (飛田 展男, Tobita Nobuo).
• Noborizon (ノボリゾン) is a Player on Team Azald. He is armed with the Attack Pickels (アタックピッケル, Atakku Pikkeru) and uses the Suidrill (スイドリル, Suidoriru) in his Blood Game. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Noborizon is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Zyuoh King armed with the Kuma Ax. Sometime later, he is duplicated by Bangray through Leo's memory of him before being defeated by the Zyuohgers once more. Voiced by Takayuki Nakatsukasa (中務 貴幸, Nakatsukasa Takayuki).
• Dorobozu (ドロボーズ, Dorobōzu) is a remaining Player on Team Jagged. He wears the invisibility Karakusa Stealsuit (唐草ステルスーツ, Karakusa Suterusūtsu) and has the Karakusa Catcher (唐草キャッチャー, Karakusa Kyatchā) hands. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Dorobozu is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Zyuoh King armed with the Kuma Ax. Voiced by Masami Kikuchi (菊池 正美, Kikuchi Masami).
• Hantajii (ハンタジイ) is a remaining Player on Team Jagged. He wields the G-15 Rifle (G（ジイ）-15ライフル, Jii Jūgo Raifuru) and has the Higemerang (ヒゲメラン, Higemeran) boomerangs. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Hantajii is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Zyuoh King armed with the Kuma Ax. Sometime later, he was duplicated by Bangray through Quval's memory and sent to fight the Zyuohgers before being defeated once more. Voiced by Hiroshi Naka (中 博史, Naka Hiroshi).
• Mantor (マントール, Mantōru) is a Player who assists Naria. He wears the Freta Mantle (フレータマント, Furēta Manto) and is armed with the Despada (デスパーダ, Desupāda) saber. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Mantor is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Zyuoh King armed with the Kuma Ax. Voiced by Satoshi Hino (日野 聡, Hino Satoshi).
• Trumpas (トランパス, Toranpasu) is a Player on Team Quval. He is armed with the bladed Trusensu (トラセンス, Torasensu) hand fan and uses the Jackard (ジャッカード, Jakkādo) cards and the Oshimai Boxes (オ4マイボックス, Oshimai Bokkusu) in his Blood Game. Though defeated by Zyuoh Shark, Zyuoh Lion, Zyuoh Elephant, and Zyuoh Tiger, Trumpas is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Zyuoh King armed with the Kuma Ax. Voiced by Yasunori Masutani (増谷 康紀, Masutani Yasunori).
• Bowlingen (ボウリンゲン, Bōringen) is a Player on Team Azald. He is armed with the pin-like Kakonbo (カコーンボウ, Kakōnbō) clubs. Though defeated by the Zyuohgers, Bowlingen is enlarged, but manages to avoid confrontation with them in his giant form thanks to The World's interference. After The World joins the Zyuohgers, the giant Bowlingen is destroyed by Tousai Zyuoh. Voiced by Subaru Kimura (木村 昴, Kimura Subaru).
• Prisonable (プリズナブル, Purizunaburu) is a Player on Team Azald. He is armed with the Tetsugoshield (テツゴウシールド, Tetsugōshīrudo). Though defeated by Zyuoh Elephant and Zyuoh The World, Prisonable is enlarged before being destroyed by Tousai Zyuoh armed with the Komori Boomerang. Voiced by Hisao Egawa (江川 央生, Egawa Hisao).
• Illusion (イルジオン, Irujion) is a Player on Team Quval. He is armed with the Hazero Stick (ハゼロステッキ, Hazero Sutekki). Though defeated by Zyuoh Eagle and Zyuoh The World, Illusion is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Tousai King. Voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi (山口 勝平, Yamaguchi Kappei).
• Cruiza (クルーザ, Kurūza) is a Player on Team Azald. He is armed with the turret-like Uchimacluster (ウチマクラスター, Uchimakurasutā) on his right shoulder. Though defeated by Zyuoh Shark, Zyuoh Lion, Zyuoh Elephant, and Zyuoh Tiger, Cruiza is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Tousai King. Voiced by Akio Suyama (陶山 章央, Suyama Akio).
• Jashinga (ジャシンガー, Jashingā) is a Player on Team Quval. He is armed with the camera-like Gekishutter (ゲキシャッター, Gekishattā) on his right shoulder and wields the Sankyaclaw (サンキャクロー, Sankyakurō) man catcher. Though defeated by the six Zyuohgers, Jashinga is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Tousai King. Voiced by Yasuhiro Takato (高戸 靖広, Takato Yasuhiro).
• Omoteurya (オモテウリャー, Omoteuryā) is a Player on Team Quval. He possesses the two-sided body called Two Faces (ツーフェイス, Tsū Feisu). Though defeated by Zyuoh Whale, Omoteurya is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Tousai King and Dodekaioh. Voiced by Satoshi Mikami (三上 哲, Mikami Satoshi).
• Sumotoron (スモートロン, Sumōtoron) is a Player on Team Azald. He wears the Deathgalien Yokozuna Mawashi (デスガリアン横綱まわし, Desugarian Yokozuna Mawashi) and is armed with the Happyaku Nagayari (八百長槍). Though defeated by the six Zyuohgers, Sumotoron is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Tousai King. Voiced by Masuo Amada (天田 益男, Amada Masuo).
• Sanbaba (サンババ) is a Player on Team Azald. Though defeated by Zyuoh Whale, Sanbaba is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Tousai Dodeka King. Voiced by Shintarō Asanuma (浅沼 晋太郎, Asanuma Shintarō).
• The Saguiru Brothers (サグイルブラザーズ, Saguiru Burazāzu) are twin Players on Team Azald. They are armed with the long Synchrope (シンクロープ, Shinkurōpu) jump ropes and the Grooblade (グルーブレード, Gurūburēdo) daggers. Though defeated by Zyuoh Eagle and Zyuoh Bird, the Saguiru Brothers are enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Tousai Dodeka King. Voiced by Hidenobu Kiuchi (木内 秀信, Kiuchi Hidenobu) and Hiro Yūki (優希 比呂, Yūki Hiro).
• Chefudon (シェフードン, Shefūdon) is a Player on Team Quval. He is armed with the Gourmace (グルメイス, Gurumeisu) mace. Though defeated by Zyuoh Whale, Chefudon is enlarged before being destroyed by Wild Tousai Dodeka King. Voiced by Nobuaki Fukuda (福田 信昭, Fukuda Nobuaki).
• Kirumenchi (キルメンチ) is a Player on Team Azald. He has the Batchiregent (バッチリーゼント, Batchirīzento) head and is armed with the bokken-like Choranbo (チョウランボウ, Chōranbō). Though defeated by Zyuoh Whale, Kirumenchi is enlarged before being destroyed by Zyuoh King Octopus. Voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda (津田 健次郎, Tsuda Kenjirō).

Shiomaneking

Shiomaneking (シオマネキング, Shiomanekingu) is a revived fiddler crab monster from Shocker who attracts the attention of Yamato, Sela and Leo upon mistaking him for a Deathgalien at first, and they join forces with Takeru Tenkūji (Kamen Rider Ghost) against him. Though defeated by Zyuoh Gorilla with the Kamen Rider's help, Shiomaneking is enlarged by the Deathgaliens, who decide to lend a hand to him, but he ends up destroyed by Zyuoh Wild 6-2-3.

Shiomaneking is voiced by Tomokazu Seki (関 智一, Seki Tomokazu).

Bangray

Bangray (バングレイ, Bangurei) is a Megabeast Hunter (巨獣ハンター, Kyojū Hantā) who had traveled the universe hunting down giant animals for fun. He has a hunting ship known as the Yabangreat (ヤバングレイト号, Yabangureito-gō), and is armed with the anchor-shaped Bariblade (バリブレイド, Baribureido) sword. Bangray makes his presence known during the Zyuohgers' fight with Cruiza, resulting with the hunter being scouted by Ginis to join the Deathgaliens. Although enjoying his time as a Deathgalien member, he soon leaves on his own accord, although Ginis seems to accept his wish out of amusement. Bangray has the ability to read the memories of others simply by touching their heads and then create constructs of any individuals (even the dead) from those memories. He has rivalries with both Yamato and Quval, the former for not being able to submit to his mind trick and the latter for knowing his secrets. Bangray's arrival on Earth is due to his search for his 100th prey, which is later revealed to be Cube Whale. Bangrays uses the memories he scanned from Quval to extort his services in catching his quarry in exchange for an alliance to overthrow Ginis. But after their efforts to defeat the Zyuohgers together failed, Quval chops off Bangray's right forearm in a treacherous act while leaving the hunter with a Continue Medal. After Bangray is mortally wounded by the Zyuohgers, having converted his Bariblade into an artificial limb, he eats the medal to enlarge himself before being destroyed by Wild Tousai Dodeka King.

Bangray is voiced by Nobutoshi Canna (神奈 延年, Kanna Nobutoshi).

• Gokudos Gill (ゴクドス・ギル, Gokudosu Giru) is a giant that is the combined essence of all of the Space Empire Zangyack emperors' evil spirits that defeated the Gokaigers on the Zangyack homeworld, before the events of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Movie. It resembles Emperor Akudos Gill and Bangray makes a duplicate of it after reading Gokai Silver's memory, which is defeated by Wild Tousai King.

Domidoru

Domidoru (ドミドル) is the owner of the Space Circus (宇宙サーカス団, Uchū Sākasu-dan) and the main antagonist of the film Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger the Movie: The Exciting Circus Panic!. He can control any animal with his whip. His goal is to recreate the entire universe into a circus stage by destroying any unnecessary planets. Before arriving to Earth, he steals a large number of Moeba Medals and Triangulars from the Sagittariark. He uses the Zyuman circus to gather the energy of the children's cries to create a powerful energy, and attempts to destroy Earth with its powerful energy. During the final battle, he combines with his starship to become his giant Perfect Form (完全態, Kanzentai), but is finally destroyed by Wild Tousai King armed with Cube Condor (as a sword).

Domidoru is portrayed by Takashi Yoshimura (吉村 崇, Yoshimura Takashi) of the owarai duo Heisei Nobushi Kobushi.
