The following is a list of musicians who were members and collaborators of the band Jethro Tull. Ian Anderson was the band's leader and the only member to perform with the band for its entire existence between 1968 and 2012 as well as perform on every one of their albums.

Notes: O'List Joined the band briefly at the end of 1968 following the departure of Mick Abrahams. He rehearsed with the band for one week before departing.

Notes: Following David O'List's departure at the end of 1968 Tony Iommi joined the band. He appeared with the band on a mimed performance of "A Song for Jeffrey," which later appeared on The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, before departing in December of that year.

Notes: Williams played bass for Jethro Tull on their 1978 North American tour in place of John Glascock who was too ill to perform.

Notes: Matt Pegg, the son of then current Jethro Tull bassist Dave Pegg, recorded on some tracks on the 1991 album Catfish Rising. He would also occasionally fill in for his father on tour between 1991 and 1994 while Dave Pegg was performing with Fairport Convention.
