"One Dance" by Drake (pictured) is the most streamed song on Spotify, with over 950 million streams as of November 2016.

This list of most streamed songs on Spotify contains the top 40 songs with the most streams of all time, as derived from Spotify charts.[1]

As of December 2016, three songs have exceeded 800 million streams: "One Dance" by Drake featuring Wiz Kid and Kyla, "Lean On" by Major Lazer and DJ Snake featuring , and "Sorry" by Justin Bieber, with "One Dance" and "Lean On" being the only ones to exceed 900 million. One factor for the streaming popularity of "One Dance" may in part be due to its lack of a music video, pushing listeners to streaming services rather than free platforms such as YouTube.[2]

Prior to February 2014, Spotify's most streamed song was "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons;[3] it was overtaken by Avicii's "Wake Me Up" featuring Aloe Blacc, which became the first song to hit 200 million streams on February 27, 2014.[4] "Wake Me Up" held the streaming record for over a year before being surpassed on May 22, 2015 by Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud",[5] which became the first song to hit 500 million streams on October 12, 2015.[6] A month later, however, it was surpassed by "Lean On",[7] which held the streaming record for 11 months until "One Dance" overtook it on October 15, 2016.[8]
