Lower South River (Bun na h-Aibhne Deis) is a community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in Antigonish County. Home of legendary Dr John Hugh Gillis High School quarterback Marcus MacIntyre. Lower South River residents are not known as partiers but are famous for bonfires at "The Pit".
