Ludvig Ludvigsen Daae

Ludvig Ludvigsen Daae (7 December 1834 – 17 March 1910) was a Norwegian historian. He was born in Aremark and died in Kristiania.

Daae was assigned as a professor at the University of Kristiania for more than thirty years, from 1876 to 1910. He published a large number of scientific works, and was also a frequent contributor to newspapers. In 1899 he published an edition of Claus Pavels's diaries from the period 1817 to 1822. He was decorated Commander, Second Class of the Order of St. Olav in 1905. He was a Knight of the Danish Order of Dannebrog and of the Swedish Order of the Polar Star.[1][2]
