Admiral M Farid Habib, (ND), NBP, OSP, BCGM, ndc (National Defence College), psc (Past Staff Course), (born 1959) is the present Chief of Staff of the Bangladesh Navy. He was appointed on 20 January 2013 and assumed office on 28 January 2013.[1] He has been promoted to the rank of Admiral on 17 January 2016.[2] He has become the first ever four-star Admiral in the history of Bangladesh Navy.[2]
