State Route 222 is a route from Corinna at State Routes 7, 11, and 43 to US Routes 2 and 1A and state routes 9 and 15 Business in Bangor. The route is 27.42 miles (44.13 km) long.
Route Description
Route 222 begins at an intersection with concurrent US Routes 2 and 1A, as well as State Routes 9 and 15 BUS. The route heads northwest to cross Interstate 95. After it crosses Interstate 95, the route is next to the Bangor International Airport. In the town of Levant, the route turns left but is not concurrent. In the town of Stetson it crosses State Route 143. Then, the route makes it to its western end in Corinna.
