Malsisar town is located about 28 Km. from Jhunjhunu, District Jhunjhunu and Rajasthan. It is about 30 km. from Mandawa and Rajasthan Assembly. The villagges Indian Post PIN code is 331 028. It is one of the headquarters for Panchayat and Tehsil. Malsisar is located among Jhunjhunu, Bissau, Sadulpur and Mandawa.

Background

Established in the Shekhawat dynasty by Thakur Maha Singh, son of Thakur Jorawar Singh of Jhunjhunu, the construction of Malsisar Fort started in 1762. The name of Malsisar and it's neighboring village Alsisar were adopted in the memory of two sisters named Malsi & Alsi, who's family members were among the first to settle in these villages. Malsisar was officially founded in late 1760 AD (Vikram Samvat 1814)

Population

Presently around 1800 families with 30,000 people in total live in these villages. The Sarpanch in panchayat has been Bismilla Chauhan since 2014.

Heritage and Tourist Attractions

Baba Prem Giri ji Maharaj's Math (Temple) is the most famous heritage building in Malsisar, attracting people and followers from different cities and states. Its a 'Samadhi Sthal' of Shri Shri 1008 Baba Prem Giri ji Maharaj. Other old temples in the village are Lord Shiva, Radha-Krishna Temple, Shri Rang ji, Baba Ramdevji, Gogaji, Hanuman (Balaji) Mandir. There is also a recently built temple of Shri Krishna & Lord Shiva. There is also a 250 year old fort, and many famous heritage Havelis belonging to many well known business families such as Banka, Jhunjhunuwala, Nagaria, Sanganeria, Saraogi, Kedia and Modi. Tourist attractions in the village include: Malsisar Math, a Water Dam and the fort

Famous Silver King Seth Motilal Ji Jhunjhunuwala belongs to this Malsisar. He is the only Indian whose portrait hangs at the Wall Street Bullion Exchange in USA, titled "Silver King".

Utilities

Malsisar also has many utilities including a Police Station which covers many villages and a petrol pump. In the village there are around 35 schools including 2 government higher secondary schools and the famous Helena Kaushik Girls College. V. R. Higher Secondary School is 125 years old and Shri Satya Narayan Badangadia Sikshan Sansthan was established in memory of renowned Freedom Fighter Shri Satya Narayan ji (Master ji) There are also government hospitals, a Bank Of Baroda and the State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur.
