Early Life
Chandrawinata was born in Hannover, Germany. His father is Indonesian of Chinese descent and his mother is German. He has two siblings; twin identical brother Mischa, who also an actor, and elder sister Nadine Chandrawinata, an actress and Puteri Indonesia (Miss Indonesia Universe) 2005 and a delegate representing Indonesia in the 2006 Miss Universe Pageant. His family later moved to Indonesia after his birth.
