Matthew Long (born 27 June 1975) is an Olympic-level rower, who competes for Australia.[1]

Long attended Newington College[2] and coached by Olympian and fellow Old Newingtonian Michael Morgan and deputy headmaster Robert Buntine. He rowed in three NSW Head of the River crews, twice being successful in the 1st Eights race.[3]

In 2000 he teamed up with James Tomkins and won a gold medal in the coxless pair at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
