Mattoru Seetha ( Malayalam: മറ്റൊരു സീത ) is a 1975 Malayalam-language Indian feature film directed by P. Bhaskaran, starring Kamal Haasan, Roja Ramani, Sheela, Adoor Bhasi, Bahadoor, Sukumari, Jose Prakash, Prema Menon, M. G. Soman and Vincent.[1] The movie is a remake of 1974 Telugu movie O Seeta Katha which was also later remade in 1976 in Tamil as Moondru Mudichu. The role played by Kamal Haasan in this movie was reprised by Rajinikanth in the Tamil version.

Summary

Mattoru Seetha is the story of two friends (Kamal Haasan & Vincent), one evil minded (Kamal Haasan), loving the same girl (Roja Ramani) and the revenge of that girl who gets married to the father of evil mind, teaching him respect and life using her 'mother' status.

Cast

Remake

Mattoru Seetha is a remake of the 1973 Telugu film O Seetha Katha, directed by K. Vishwanath. Later in 1976, K. Balachander remade the same film in Tamil as Moondru Mudichu starring Rajinikanth and Sridevi with Kamal Haasan playing the supporting role.[2][3]

Kamal Haasan played the anti hero role in the Malayalam version, which was later played by Rajinikanth in the Tamil version.
