Mesbahuddin Ahmad is a Bangladeshi academic. He is a fellow of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences since 1997.[1] He served as the president of the academy during 2012–2015.[2] He is the current vice-chancellor of Gono University.[3][4]

Education and career

Ahmad completed his master's in chemistry from the University of Dhaka in 1958. He obtained his Ph.D. from Ottawa University in organic chemistry in 1963.[1]

Ahmad joined the University of Dhaka as a lecturer in 1959. He then served as an associate professor of the University of Chittagong during 1969–1972. Then he served as a faculty member of Jahangirnagar University.[1]
