Mikayel Abrahamyan (born December 24, 1984), better known by his stage name Misho (Template:Lang-hy), is an Armenian rapper from Yerevan.

Early life

Misho was born Mikayel Abrahamyan (Template:Lang-hy)[1] on December 24, 1984[2] in a family of a doctor and a teacher from Karabakh. After transferring from school to school, he graduated from School #160 of Yerevan. He played basketball during his late school and college years. In 2009, he graduated from the Yerevan State Medical University. He lives in the 7th quarter of Nor Nork district of Yerevan.[2]

Music career

Misho started to show interest in rap since his high school years. In 2000, together with his childhood friends Yozh, Hamo and cousin Sash, Misho founded a group called Selected from... . It was the first ever rap group in Armenia. They wrote songs both in Armenian and Russian. A year later, the group dissolved, without any apparent reason.[3]

In 2001, Misho met HT Hayko, with whom two years later their first single came out called "Hay tghen tghaya" («Հայ տղեն տղայա») under a group name Hay Tgheq («Հայ Տղեք», Armenian Boys). This group was formally dissolved in 2008, but by that time a new group called Hay Team («Հայ Թիմ», Armenian Team) has already been founded, which continues up to this day.[2]
