Mogalthur is a village in West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[1] The coir industry is one of the occupation predominant in the village.[2]

Geography

Mogaltur is located at 16°25′00″N 81°36′00″E / 16.4167°N 81.6000°E / 16.4167; 81.6000.[3] It has an average elevation of 1 meter (6 feet). NH 214A passes through the village.

History

Mogalthur is notable for ancient Zamindar clan and a mud fort.[2]

Notable persons

Mahesh Parvatham, Uppalapati Krishnam Raju, Prabhas Raju Uppalapati, Chiranjeevi, and his brother, Naga Babu are some of the actors of Tollywood, who were born in Mogalthuru.
