Monte Mário is a small mountain and a settlement in Caué District on São Tomé Island in São Tomé and Príncipe. Its population is 196 (2008 est.),[1] its estimate 2015 population is likely over 200. The locality is located nearly southwest of Dona Augusta, south of Novo Brasil and east of Santa Josefina, and northeast of Vila Malanza and Porto Alegre, it also sits west of Baía de Praia Grande. As to the entire south part of the island and the district, its primary language is Angolar creole.
